The
Dolph Inn is a two unit complex with each unit being approximately
1500sq feet. Each unit has two large bedrooms with full size beds
and three hammocks that can be positioned throughout the house and
a covered porch on the front and back sides. The Dolph Inn is is
located in Xcalak, Mexico, south of Cancún on the Yucatán
Peninsula near the Belize Boarder on the Caribbean.
In the Kitchen you will find a propane gas powered refrigerator,
stove and oven with plenty of glasses, plates, dishes, flatware,
pots, pans, knives, etc and stocked with basics such as oil,
salt, pepper and sugar, but if you are going to need any special
seasonings, bring them with you. There is also a base for dispensing
5- gallon jugs of purified drinking water that is supplied. In the
bathroom you will find a large shower, toilet and sink.
Electricity
is provided by a solar powered 24-volt battery charging system run
through a 2400-watt inverter to create the same 110 a/c that is
standard in the U.S. There is adequate power to run the lights stereo
and television set. Note that appliances which generate heat require
a large amount of energy. These include hair dryers, clothes irons,
electric coffeepots and toasters--all of which are prohibited, as
they do damage to the solar system.
There are ceiling fans but fortunately, the ocean breezes usually
keep the entire house comfortable without their use
